FAQ'S
What is the dress code for the weekend?
WELCOME PARTY — CASUAL ATTIRE
Our welcome party will be relaxed, but polished. Think elevated mountain casual - sundresses, easy separates, or jeans with a nice top for women; jeans or chinos with a polo or button-down for men. No jackets or ties required here!
The Beach is an open-air riverside venue with a sandy beach, so comfortable shoes and a light layer for the evening are encouraged. Ashley will likely take this as an opportunity to sport one of her many pairs of cowboy boots.
WEDDING DAY — COCKTAIL ATTIRE
We’d love for everyone to dress up with us! For women, think mini to midi-length dresses in elevated evening fabrics, dressy jumpsuits, or polished separates. For men, suits, or tailored trousers with a blazer. Ties are optional.
Will there be an open bar at the reception?
Come on, did you really need to ask? We all know Anthony has never met a party he didn’t like, and Ashley has never met a fancy cocktail she didn’t want to try. We’ve got you covered. Come thirsty.
How and when do I RSVP?
Formal invitations will be sent closer to the wedding with instructions for RSVPing right here on our website.
When you RSVP, you’ll be able to let us know which wedding weekend events you’ll be joining, including the Welcome Party and optional Saturday rafting.
In the meantime, we encourage you to make your travel and hotel arrangements early — especially if you’re hoping to stay Saturday night!
Are my kids invited?
While we love your little ones, our wedding weekend will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of our flower girl. We hope you’re able to enjoy a kid-free weekend away with us in Colorado!
Can I bring a plus-one?
Due to the intimate size of our celebration, we’re only able to accommodate the guests specifically named on your invitation.
What is parking like at the hotel?
Free street parking is available around the Surf Hotel, though it can fill up quickly. There is also a free public gravel lot approximately one block from the hotel.
What is the altitude in Buena Vista?
Buena Vista sits at nearly 8,000 feet above sea level. Drink plenty of water, take it easy when you arrive, and remember that cocktails may hit a little differently here.
What is Buena Vista weather like in June?
Early June in Buena Vista typically brings sunny, comfortable days and crisp mountain evenings. Around our wedding weekend, average highs are in the low-to-mid 70s, with temperatures dropping into the low 40s overnight.
Buena Vista has a dry, high-desert climate, so June generally sees relatively little rainfall, although a passing afternoon shower is always possible in the mountains.
At nearly 8,000 feet, the sun is strong and temperatures can drop quickly in the evening.
